I have known Mark for about three years. I first came into contact with him when I received a personal letter indicating that he was praying for me. When I received that note, we had not met.

 

I soon learned that encouragement is Mark's middle name, so to speak. I have had the pleasure of visiting with Mark on several occasions. We have had lunch. We have talked about the ministry. I can tell that he loves to shoulder burdens and care for people.

 

Mark is also a gifted preacher and communicator of God's word. He preached in a revival service in our church this past year and has also supplied the pulpit for me. The people in the church I serve also enjoy hearing the scriptures as Mark proclaims them.

 

I highly recommend Mark to you. He is multi-talented and has a contagious love for our Lord. He has a strong family and wonderful wife, it is very evident that she is a wonderful partner with Mark in ministry.

I love music and gospel music especially. Mark Hensley sang a song in our church one Sunday called, "Press On", and the message is still ringing in my minds ear as I hear his voice sing those words. "When you've given your all in Jesus name Press On". Mark led our Church here in Sioux City through some difficult times.
