For over 20 years as a Senior Pastor, Mark's ministry has been
focused on Outreach, Evangelism,
and Discipleship, and he has been active in denominational work with
numerous state associations. He has Pastored Churches with as few as 15
in Worship attendance to over 300. He has served extensively with the
North
American Mission Board, Pastoring churches in Colorado and Kansas as
an Appointed Home Missionary.
Wherever Mark has served, he has emphasized
Strong Fellowship, Church Growth,
Evangelism and Missions
Outreach.
In April of 2008, Mark completed an Interim
Director of Missions position for the Green
River & Overthrust Associations of Southwest Wyoming. A
joint opportunity with the Wyoming Southern
Baptist Convention and the North
American Mission Board.
In mid-April of 2008, Mark began serving as Transitional
Interim
Pastor for the Hilltop Baptist Church in Green River, Wyoming.
Hilltop Baptist Church is a vibrant growing congregation that is in the
middle of building a new 450 seat auditorium.
In October of 2009 this loving and warm
congregation, extended to Mark a unanimous call to serve as
Senior Pastor.
Currently serving as Assistant Professor and Instructional Mentor,
Liberty University. Teaching on-line students at the largest
Christian University in the world.
Chancellors Award For Excellence in Teaching
Liberty University 2012. The purpose of the award is to
recognize teachers who have promoted significant student learning
evidenced by exceptional pedagogical skill, effective use of
instructional technology and the incorporation of creative and
innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
Adjunct Faculty Professor for Golden Gate
Seminary 2008-2010. Taught Baptist History and Baptist
Polity, Old Testament, the book of Genesis, Ministry Foundations and New
Testament Theology for diploma students in Southwest Wyoming.
Mark has preached and ministered in song in World Missions
Conferences and revivals in Georgia, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Colorado,
Louisiana and Kansas.
After completing his Bachelor of Behavioral Science degree at
Hardin
Simmons University, Mark earned a Master of Arts in Religious
Education from Southwestern
Baptist Theological Seminary.
Southwestern Seminary awarded Mark the R. Othal Feather Award in Educational
Evangelism in 2004. Selection for this award is made on the basis of
a students excellent academic standing and evidence of proficiency for
research in Educational Evangelism.
In 2005, Mark completed his Doctoral degree in Educational Ministry
with an
emphasis in leadership from Southwestern
Baptist Theological Seminary.
An accomplished vocalist, Mark has recorded a CD entitled
"ENCOURAGEMENT".

Mark married Laura in August of 1981, and they have three sons,
Brian, Ben and Tyler.
